From when colours have sound
In the works of Teresa Ribeiro, an artist constantly seeking new paths for her art, one can detect a constant evolution, now in a level never attained before. The thick, almost biological look of the works presented in the late 1991 has given place to profound and radiant collage-paintings inspired in musical writing by original staves of the Brazilian composer Eli Camargo Jr. Movement of Sounds surprises by the easiness of the artist to combine both arts: Painting and Music. In theory, the staves are only useful when the signs written on them are read and performed by musicians. Either than that, the importance given to them serve only to illustrate excessive alcoholic libations. Joaquim Saial |
